About

Frederick L. Ruberg, MD is Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Ruberg is also the Thomas J. Ryan Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and Section Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. His clinical and research expertise primarily involves cardiac imaging (echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging) and infiltrative heart disease focused on improving the recognition and care of patients with cardiac amyloidosis. An active clinical cardiologist at the BU/BMC Amyloidosis Center, he has also contributed and co-directed numerous collaborative clinical guidelines initiatives, including in 2023 the ACC Expert Consensus Decision Pathway document on The Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Care of Patient with Cardiac Amyloidosis.
